Holiday on the Plaza

In its 43rd year, Holiday on the Plaza is a family classic. We are partnering with Katy Market Days to combine Holiday on the Plaza with A Katy Old-Fashioned Christmas. The events will start at noon and the Christmas Tree Lighting program will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Harvest Plaza. The official lighting of the City Christmas Tree and photos with Katy’s Santa Claus are sure to create treasured memories. The Parks and Recreation Department will have booths with holiday activities for children including letters to Santa, making your own Christmas Ornaments and Reindeer food!

Community Camp Out

The event will start on Friday at 5pm through Saturday. Come out to VFW Park and set up your campsite with us! Friday evening will feature a scavenger hunt in the park and crafts starting at 6pm. Enjoy a hot dog dinner, camp fire and s’mores! Get comfortable with your family under the stars to enjoy an outdoor movie before cuddling up for the night in your tents. Saturday morning we will be serving a pancake breakfast before you head out to enjoy the rest of your weekend. All children must be accompanied by a parent. Your four-legged friend can come dressed to scare to the City of Katy Dog Park for a frightful fun time. The highlight of the event is the costume contest, but other fun and games will be plentiful. The cost of admission is one bag or can of dog food per dog which will be donated to a local shelter.
