On Monday 14 November, Katy ISD's Board held a work-study meeting which discussed changing the schools some kids will attend next school year. Our Katy Elementary, Katy Junior High, and Katy High Schools were included.
Here were the changes for the current school year, carving the new Bethke Elementary (#39) from King Elementary:

The proposed change for Katy Elementary would appear to divide our development using the Cane Island Branch of Buffalo Bayou that runs under Brace Ridge bridge. Elementary kids west of the Bayou would join Cane Islanders at the new Bryant Elementary that is near Willow Creek and Cameron, south of I-10 from the Love's.

keep in mind this is only currently what is proposed. There has been a lot of talk about it on the neighbors facebook page. One of our neighbors has also started a petition on change.org. There are also plans to speak at the December 5th board meeting.

Final Recommendation
The final recommendation map appears to add back the west half of Falls at Green Meadows and Lakes of Katy to the Katy Elementary map. The Junior High and High School still do not show our neighborhood changing schools.
